How about Tsuihana? I've forgotten where I've hear it from but I was quite certain it was a type of flower...

Thanks for your inquiry.
I think 'tsuihana' may be a variant pronounciation for 'suhama', which is a cloud motif. [Please see the list for more details]. I'm not positive of that, but it's the closest assoication I can make. If you look at the previous replies, you will also see it spelled 'zuihana', which is probably a Kanazawa dialect form of the same word. Unfortunately, in Japanese, none of these questions can be answered just through spelling and pronunciation. Only the kanji can definitively distinguish the difference. Perhaps Ichiro-san can respond if you can identify the ideogram for the word.
