Konnichi wa!
My heart also, is one of those devoted to kimono.
I'm sure, all of us here know this passion.
I'm not from Japan, nor am I japanese, but this won't stop me to find a kimono I'll love and enjoy wearing it. But no matter how big my passion is I still didn't find what I'm looking for.
Considering the ammount of money I can spend I'm being carefull to choose the right thing. Also I've never had a kimono, I never saw one with my own eyes. I study and read about it and I'm definitely desperate to have one
There had been 2 kimonos I really liked, but being too carefull and not making up my mind quickly enough I missed my chance. I regret it deeply now.
I don't want to trouble you and I don't know if it's possible to ask you to look for certain type of kimono. If yes, I would be very thankfull for your help.
Please let me know.

If you have never worn a kimono before, the summer is an ideal time to start. A cotton yukata is not only much cheaper than hand sewn silk, it requires far fewer accessories. Check the site for a new yukata (about $34), yukata obi (about $20) and summer obijime (about $15). For under $100 you're all set.
If you want a kimono for year-round use, buy a komon. It's an everyday kimono that is sometimes referred to as "townwear". The site has a glossery that explains this and links that outline how and when to wear komon.

Kiami san, Like MarieNY said, Yukata for summer and Komon for all year is best. Use a contact button on Ichiroya's site and tell them what you are looking for and don't forget your measurements( height, from wrist to wrist, hip measurement). It would help if you could tell them what occations you will be wearing them, since there are specific kimono for specific occations.

Thank you very much for your concern. Yes, I know what I'm looking for. Three criteria are for certain: 1. The most important - it should be nice crimson red color - i just love this color... 2. I like when the sleeves are most round at the bottom 3. I like long sleeves So I'm aiming for furisode kimono... And, yes, I know for what occasions it's worn.. Yes, I was thinking about komon as well... so there would be kimono I can wear more often ^^ Yes, it's good idea to write to Ichiroya directly.. Well, I hope it won't trouble them too much
