Kimono in Tokyo?
Anyone know of credible and decent department stores that actually have good kimono for a low price? Perhaps maybe used ones and I'm looking for a men's kimono set?
I'm assuming that I'm better off looking at smaller places but just curious. Not sure about the selection and quality of kimono in department stores, especially in the cities.

Perhaps a store in a tourist area would have what you are looking for. They would likely have sets that are not too expensive because tourists are looking for souveniers.
I did hear a complaint from a colleague, who is Chinese, who claims that the men's kimonos he does see in Japan are too large for him. He believes that they are cut for the larger frames of American and European men.

Are you in Japan? In the Tokyo area? If so, go to Asakusa-bashi and ask for directions to the kimono-seller's area. You can get second hand kimono "sets" including juban (under-kimono), kimono and haori (jacket) for Y20,000.
